For weddings further afield, I'll add a simple, transparent travel cost (fuel plus accommodation if it's an early start the next morning) and quote it up front so there are no surprises. Absolutely — and I really enjoy it. A good photographer/videographer partnership makes both sets of work better, and I've built my whole approach around being easy to share a day with. I'll always reach out to your photographer in the week before the wedding to introduce myself, talk through the timeline, and agree how we'll move around each other during key moments like the ceremony, group shots, and speeches. My style is deliberately unobtrusive, so you'll never see me elbowing for a shot or getting in anyone's way. Honestly? Some of the most beautiful wedding footage happens in weather nobody planned for. Rain gives you moody skies, umbrellas, laughing dashes between buildings, and reflections in wet stone — it's genuinely lovely to film. My kit is weather-sealed and I always bring backup covers, so a shower won't stop me shooting. The only element that's truly weather-dependent is drone footage — I can not launch. the drone in high winds or rain, so if conditions ground the drone on the day, I'll capture the venue from the air on a scouting visit beforehand or a return trip afterwards at no extra cost. Whatever the forecast, your film will still feel like your day.

Most couples book 9–18 months ahead, and peak summer Saturdays (June through September) tend to go first — often a year or more in advance. That said, if your date is closer, always ask: I keep a limited number of shorter-notice slots open each season, and midweek or off-peak weddings are often still available at shorter lead times. Because I only take on a set number of weddings each year to make sure every couple gets my full attention, once a date is gone it's gone — so if you've got a date in mind, the sooner we chat, the better.

Yes — I don't think anyone should have to pay for their wedding film in one go. A 20% deposit secures your date, and the remaining balance can be split across interest-free monthly payments in the lead-up to your wedding, with the final instalment due two weeks before the day. If you'd prefer a different rhythm — a mid-point payment, a larger deposit for a smaller monthly, whatever works — just say and we'll build a plan around your budget. Bookings and payments are all handled through a simple online contract so everything's clear from the start.

Yes, a 20% non-refundable booking fee is required to confirm your date, and this is deducted from your final total. Until that deposit lands, I can't hold the date — I get asked about most Saturdays multiple times, so it's the deposit that officially takes it off the calendar. Once you're booked in, that date is yours and I won't take on anything else that day, no matter what comes in. You'll also receive a straightforward booking contract that protects both of us and sets everything out clearly, including what happens in the (very rare) event that a date needs to be moved.
